If you’re bored, you aren’t working hard enough

It’s way too easy to be lazy. ESP when it’s raining and cold… Or we are tired and stressed.

I’ve been actively struggling to break the habit of working out only when I teach. Monday and Tuesday rolled by … No exercise. Then comes wednesday, spin (taught) after a tumultuous day at work.  Funny how inspiring people can inspire. My students rely on me for a great work out and an escape from their day to day challenges, and I rely on them for the same. At one point on a heavy hill, the easiest drill to cheat on, I cued ‘if you’re bored, you aren’t working hard enough.’ Isn’t that the truth? In the gym, at work, in a relationship, in almost anything we do: boredom is DANGEROUS! After a sweaty hour of class we ended w a trick (got the whole class to smile on cue) ~ not a treat.

Happy Halloween ! 🎃 you should work out today 👻
